Leeds fullback Raul, Makelele could be offered by Real Madrid for Beckham

Speculation continues that Real Madrid will make a move for Manchester United star David Beckham at the end of the season.

United are reportedly willing to listen to offers for the England skipper beginning at £35 million.

Spanish press reports yesterday suggested that Real would be prepared to offer some players in the deal to lower the cash price.

United have been chasing midfielder Claude Makelele since the start of the season, with manager Sir Alex Ferguson seeing the Frenchman as a successor to Roy Keane.

Also in Ferguson's sights are Real fullbacks Michel Salgado and Raul Bravo.

Salgado is still to sign a new contract with Real, while Raul is on-loan at Leeds United and has impressed with his quick adaptation to Premiership football.
