Lazio Miss Out On Solari

According to the latest reports, Lazio narrowly failed to complete the signing of Real Madrid winger Santiago Solari before the transfer deadline.

Earlier on Saturday, the director general of the Biancoceleste Luca Baraldi got the capital club's tifosi excited by claiming: "We have a deal with Solari and merely await Real Madrid's consent to complete the move."

Solari has now confirmed he is staying in Madrid, however.

In related news, Udinese have made up for Roberto Muzzi's recent departure to Lazio by beating Fiorentina, Juventus and Parma to the signature of last season's Serie B standout Dino Fava Passaro from Triestina.
