The powers that be in the blue-and-white side of the eternal city are reportedly hoping that their successful qualification for the Champions League at the expense of Benfica will serve to convince the 26-year-old that theirs is a club worth joining.
"With Lazio successfully overcoming the Champions League preliminaries, Solari could arrive," Biancoceleste chief officer Luca Baraldi was quoted as saying on Thursday.
No word yet on whether Roma, who also expressed an interest in the player, are still holding out hope as well.
