Late Bellamy stunner seals Newcastle's passage

Newcastle United completed a historic Champions League recovery by qualifying for the second group phase with a dramatic 3-2 victory at Feyenoord.

Welsh striker Craig Bellamy scored the decisive goal, his second of the night, in stoppage time to clinch second place for Newcastle in Group E after Dynamo Kiev lost 2-1 at home to group winners Juventus.

Newcastle became the first side ever to qualify from the first group stage of the Champions League having lost their opening three matches.

Bellamy had earlier put Bobby Robson's side in front and Hugo Viana doubled the advantage before goals by Feyenoord pair Mariano Bombarda and Anthony Lurling levelled the scores on a night of high drama in the De Kuip stadium.
