Lassana Diarra hopes for fresh chance with Real Madrid coach Mourinho

Lassana Diarra wants a chance to prove himself at Real Madrid.

Diarra had a good relationship with new Real coach Jose Mourinho at Chelsea and is hoping for a fresh start under the Special Juan.

"I want to demonstrate that I can play in this team. Last year, I did not play at my best," Diarra told Marca. "I feel like a Madrid player and I know that with him [Mourinho] I have to fight everyday in training, because any player has his chance and that is something to take advantage of."

"The level of competition is very high and we need to win titles. We need a deep team and together we can win. It is not a coincidence that Mourinho always wins titles with all the teams he has managed. We can do great things. Last season, we were close, but this season we can do it."
