Laporta Is A Big Henry Fan

Barcelona president Joan Laporta has spoken of his admiration for Arsenal's Thierry Henry.

The Frenchman looks set to be involved in a tug-of-war between Real Madrid and Barcelona next summer, although it will remain to be seen if either of the Spanish giants have the strength to pull him away from Highbury.

Henry has emerged as the hottest property in European football after a truly remarkable performance against Inter Milan on Tuesday, which came in the same week that he emerged as one of three nominees for the World Player of the Year award.

Laporta also believes Henry is among the best players in the World, but admits it would be hard to sign the former Juventus striker.

"He's one of the best in the world," Laporta told Sky Sports News.

"He has played very well for many seasons."

"For me, as a man who likes football, Thierry Henry is one of best players in the world."

"The question depends on the coach and needs of the team and I know there will be a lot of clubs that try to buy a player like Henry."
