Toni Kroos is reportedly in line for a bumper new deal at Real Madrid which would make him the highest paid German player in the world.
The former Bayern Munich midfielder's current deal with Los Blancos already runs until 2020 but the club are keen to extend it for a further two years, according to reports in Germany.
The deal would make Kroos the highest paid German player in world football with reported earnings of €20m (before tax), almost doubling his current income of €11m per year.
Thomas Muller (€15m), Bastian Schweinsteiger (€14m) and Ilkay Gundogan (€12m) are currently the highest earners.
Kroos signed for Real Madrid in 2014 for a fee of around €30m from Bayern and has made 108 appearances for the club, scoring four goals.
