Kroos: Ancelotti chat convinced me about Real Madrid

Real Madrid midfielder Toni Kroos enjoys his relationship with coach Carlo Ancelotti.

Kroos admits he was convinced about leaving Bayern Munich by the Italian.

"He told me he needed me and has given me a central role in the team," he told Süddeutsche Zeitung.

"Ancelotti wanted a little bit more balance in the team's play, a little bit more control. He told me that he wanted to further improve our play, that he wanted to change it, with the intention of having more possession of the ball. I'm playing as a midfielder, ten yards further back than I did at Bayern. For now, we can say I'm a no. 6."
