Kerzhakov: Real Madrid better for Arshavin than Arsenal, Tottenham

Former Sevilla striker Alexandr Kerzhakov has urged Andrei Arshavin to choose Real Madrid ahead of Premiership rivals Arsenal and Tottenham.

Kerzhakov, now with Dinamo Moscow, said of the Zenit St Petersburg want-away midfielder: "Spanish football is much better for him than the English. The Spanish teams are not forced to fight, preferring to play combinations."

"The mentality is different and the language as well, but I do not call it a problem. The Spanish language was fairly easy to learn. For the three months I was there I had no other difficulties."
