Kenyon would love to bring Beckham to Chelsea

New Chelsea chief executive Peter Kenyon has confirmed he'd love to bring Real Madrid star David Beckham to Stamford Bridge.

Kenyon said: "Any club would like to see David Beckham wearing their shirt. He's that type of player. But I don't think he has any aspirations or plans to come back here at the moment."

"David's move from Manchester United was a serious one for him and has worked out very well. He and his advisers don't do anything on the hoof."

"Whatever he does is always well thought through and I genuinely think his move to Real Madrid was based on making a career out there and not on doing it for just a year or two."

Asked if he thought Beckham would ever return to Old Trafford, Kenyon replied: "I wouldn't have thought so."
