Karanka Happy To Stay At Real Madrid

Despite failing to agree terms for a contrat extension with Real Madrid, Spain defender Aitor Karanka said he had no intentions to leave the Merengues.

The Basque stopper has fallen down the pecking order in the Madrid defence and is now seen as a mere substitute for golden boy Francisco Pavon.

He has been demoted to the bench after stalling on contract negociations. Real used those methods with Luis Enrique three years ago.

Karanka's contract is due to expire on June 30th of next year. He is confident the club and he will agree terms before then.
