Juventus to offer Roma Davids for Real Madrid target Samuel

Juventus are targeting AS Roma defender Walter Samuel.

The Argentine is currently in the middle of new contract talks with Roma and is also being chased by Real Madrid.

Juve are considering Samuel as an alternative to Lazio's Jaap Stam and may use Edgar Davids in swap deal for the centre-half.

Davids almost joined Roma last summer and remains a priority target for president Franco Sensi and trainer Fabio Capello.

Any deal for Samuel would depend on Roma signing Chievo's Nicola Legrottalie, who is also being tracked by Tottenham and Newcastle United.
