Juventus star Vieira slams Real Madrid over Makelele sale

Juventus star Patrick Vieira says he has no regrets over not signing for Real Madrid during his time at Arsenal.

"I have never been sorry that I declined the offer of Real Madrid," Vieira says in his new autobiography. "They have many problems with their midfield."

"I still do not understand why they sold off Claude Makelele. What was the problem? Was it a color problem? I would not go so far, but it is difficult to understand."
