Juventus star Emerson reveals Real Madrid talks

Juventus midfielder Emerson has confirmed he came close to joining Real Madrid in the summer.

Ahead of the two clubs' Champions League meeting next week, the Brazil international revealed: "The Spanish were interested, like other clubs.

"I never met them directly, but, yes, my agent did. But I had given my word to Juve, I could not betray that."

"I am happy here in Turin, where I find myself very comfortable."
