Juventus Preparing To Approach Real Madrid For Drenthe

The Bianconeri have reportedly pinpointed the heir to Czech Fury and might table an offer for the Dutch starlet next summer.

Pavel Nedved is expected to hang up his boots at the end of the season, but the midfield dynamo could once again reconsider his decision, as he did after the 2006 World Cup, when all football fans were lead to believe the showpiece event would be his swansong.

Nonetheless, Juventus are already looking ahead to life without the former Lazio man, and there are reports in the peninsula that they are chasing Real Madrid highly-rated midfielder, Royston Drenthe.

The 21-year-old joined the Spanish champions from Feyenoord in the summer of 2007, but had a troubled first season at the Santiago Bernabeu, reportedly falling out with former boss Bernd Schuster and mostly warming the bench.

However, the spate of injuries that has hit the Merengues this term has allowed him to feature more regularly and the arrival of new boss Juande Ramos might benefit him even more.

It is highly unlikely Real will opt to offload such a promising prospect, but the Old Lady seem eager to test their resolve and approach them with a sizeable bid next summer.
