Juve, Milan & Napoli Enter Cassano Race

The race to sign the talented but volatile Antonio Cassano is hotting up, as Tuttosport claims that Juventus, Milan and Napoli are all preparing moves.

Cassano is currently on a season long-loan at Sampdoria from Real Madrid, and has been in simply stunning form in the last couple of months.€

The Blucerchiati have the option to make the move permanent in the summer for a fee of €5.5m.

This transfer sum should not be too much of a problem, however Cassano’s wages of €4.5m a year are a salary that Samp simply cannot afford.

The 25-year-old has expressed his desire to stay at the club and says that he will take a pay cut, although not a too significant one.  
Earlier in the week it was revealed that Inter were ready to take advantage of this issue and try to sign the forward.

However, now Tuttosport claims that Juventus, Milan and Napoli have also entered the race.

The Bianconeri have been heavily criticised for their lack of creativity in their side, and are looking to address this problem in the summer.

Milan meanwhile will also be looking for forwards, as Filippo Inzaghi will soon turn 35, Ronaldo’s contract may not be renewed, while Alberto Gilardino could be sold on to Fiorentina. 

Finally Napoli believe that Cassano can capture the public imagination just like Diego Maradona did in the 1980s, and can help them on their rise back towards the top of Serie A.
