Juve hope to trump Madrid as it launches early Vieira raid

Juventus will open talks this week with Arsenal over midfielder Patrick Vieira.

Tuttosport says the Juve board have been alerted to the Gunners skipper reluctance to sign a new contract and want to begin negotiations early to ward off rival interest from Real Madrid.

Vieira has been a long-term target for both clubs and Juve know that they will have to do a lot of talking to convince the French ace to choose Turin over Madrid.
