Juande Ramos Saving Real Madrid Pair Robben & Sneijder For Liverpool

The Merengue coach has made it no secret that he will unleash his Dutch duo on the Premier League counterparts for the upcoming Champions League clash.

The Merengue coach has made it no secret that he will unleash his Dutch duo on the Premier League counterparts for the upcoming Champions League clash.

Both Arjen Robben and Wesley Sneijder missed Real Madrid’s thumping 4-0 win at Sproting Gijon last Sunday due to injuries.

They had caused a brief scare for the team due to the possibility that they could miss out on next Wednesday’s mouth-watering Champions League encounter with Liverpool , but there was good news all around yesterday after both made a full recovery from their respective muscular problems.

However, coach Juande Ramos looks certain to rest the pair for this weekend’s Primera Division outing against Real Betis at the Santiago Bernabeu. Spanish sports daily AS reported that the Dutch duo returned to normal training with the rest of the squad but speculated that Juande will not run the risk of an injury relapse with the clash against the Reds just around the corner.

Vice-captain, Guti, has also completed rehabilitation on a calf muscle tear and he resumed the full workout with his team-mates. Barring any last minute setbacks, he is expected to be given some time on the pitch this weekend to get him up to speed if he needs to be called upon against Liverpool.

Defensive midfielder Lassana Diarra, who yesterday contracted a bout of gastroenteritis, will continued to be monitored closely today and tomorrow before a decision is made whether or not he will feature against Betis.

Both Robben and Lass have been in phenomenal form and, ironically enough, both had played seven successive games before suffering their respective ailments. Sneijder had played six in a row.
