Juande Ramos happy to work to six-month Real Madrid contract

Juande Ramos is happy with his six-month contract at Real Madrid.

The former Sevilla and Tottenham coach was appointed Real boss during a dramatic day which also saw the dismissal of Bernd Schuster.

"I always sign short contracts because I want to work where I am comfortable and where they are comfortable with me," said Ramos. "Therefore, at the end of the season, we'll once again talk and if we are all happy, I renew for another year."

"In this case, since the campaign has already started, I have until June."

Ramos continued: "I want to thank the Board for their confidence. I arrive with the greatest hopes, because the truth is that joining Madrid is a dream. I hope not to disappoint anyone and assist in the team achieving many successes."

"Madrid is a big dream for everyone who works at this club and it is impossible to say no. I have had 20 years as a coach and I know that there is no step higher than Madrid."
