Jol: No new Real Madrid move for Van der Vaart

Hamburg coach Martin Jol admits there's been no movement from Real Madrid over their bid for Rafael van der Vaart.

Jol left Van der Vaart out of yesterday's friendly victory over Juventus, but admits Hamburg are still waiting on Real to make an improved offer.

"The situation of Van der Vaart has not changed. This is the same as a couple of days ago. It would have been ridiculous to make him play as things stand, so we're going to wait two more days to see what happens," said Jol.

"Anyway , I still have confidence that he will ultimately stay with us."
