Joaquin would take Real Madrid over Chelsea

Real Betis winger Joaquin has admitted if he is to leave then his preferred destination would be Real Madrid.

The Spanish international also revealed that he turned down an offer from Chelsea when talking with uefa.com this week.

"I have rejected offers so I could stay in Spain," said Joaquin. "But there are foreign teams that are very interested and I will not be able to always reject them."

"The life of a footballer is short. Florentino knows that if one day he is interested in me, we can reach an agreement because both clubs have a good relationship. If someday I must leave, where better than to Real Madrid?"

On Chelsea, Joaquin revealed: "The offer at the time wasn't good for me. That doesn't mean that one day I cannot see myself playing in the Premiership."

"I know that I will suffer in the beginning, but I will acclimatise."
