James Rodriguez to Man United: Real Madrid star to have move announced on Sunday

James Rodriguez will reportedly announce his move from Real Madrid to Manchester United on Sunday.

Manchester United are chasing the Real Madrid playmaker ahead of another summer spending spree.

It was claimed last week that the Colombia international had agreed to move to Old Trafford at the end of the season.

Talk that he is set to leave the Bernabeu intensified at the weekend where he appeared to wave goodbye to Real supporters following a 4-1 win over Sevilla.

And Colombian radio station Radio Caracol claim his transfer to United will be announced was early as this Sunday.

The deal will supposedly be announced after Real’s final La Liga game against Malaga.

The Spanish giants are reluctant for any transfer talk to get in the way of next month’s Champions League final with Juventus, but Rodriguez is eager to announce to fans where he will be playing next season.

United’s bid to sign the former Monaco star has been aided by super agent Jorge Mendes.

Mendes also represents Jose Mourinho and their relationship appears to have paid dividends.

Rodriguez may still yet play a part in Real’s bid to win the double.

A win over Celta Vigo tomorrow night (8pm) would all but seal a first league title since 2012, where Mourinho was manager.
