James delighted winning first trophy with Real Madrid

Real Madrid midfielder James Rodriguez is delighted to have won his first piece silverware with his new club.

The Colombian played an influential role in this week's European Super Cup victory over Sevilla.

"I'm very happy to debut with a success," said James: "It is very good, but hopefully many more titles will be won like this."

"It is a great pleasure to play alongside so many stars and hope to do so for many more years."

James added: "I will try to do everything I'm asked of by Carlo Ancelotti. I can play the No8, No10, striker. Where I'll play, I'll be at home, for sure."
