Inter Milan rush through deal for Real Madrid's Samuel

Inter Milan could close the signing of Real Madrid defender Walter Samuel today.
 
His agents agreed personal terms with Inter on Friday and the two clubs spent the weekend thrashing out terms over a £12 million fee - to be paid in four installments.

Inter supremo Massimo Moratti said over the weekend they were happy to take their time over negotiations, but the situation has changed after Ivan Cordoba broke down with an ankle injury on Saturday.

Samuel could be rushed into Inter's starting XI to make his debut in the Champions League qualifier against Shakhtar Donetsk.
