Inter Milan offer Davids, Zanetti for Real Madrid's Samuel

Inter Milan are being linked with a move for Real Madrid defender Walter Samuel.

Only this week, the Argentina international denied reports that he was unsettled in Madrid, after moving to Real from Roma in the summer.

But Inter are said to be in talks with Real over a swap deal which will see Samuel move to Milan in exchange for Edgar Davids and Cristiano Zanetti.

The stumbling block will be FIFA laws that state no player can swap countries twice in one season.

If the deal can be struck - and the red-tape negotiated - Inter would call on Fiorentina to take Samuel on-loan to the end of the season due to his non-EU status.
