Inter have agreed personal terms with Samuel, who is prepared to take a cut on his Real wages to return to Italy next season.
But Real's £16 million asking price for the Argentina international is deemed to rich by Inter supremo Massimo Moratti and even their demands of £2 million for a 12-month loan has disappointed the Milan giants.
Moratti and his offsiders Gabriele Oriali and Marco Branca will make one final approach to Real today and tomorrow in an attempt to break the impasse.
