Inter Milan hope Ronaldo chooses home ties over Chelsea cash

Chelsea are being linked with a massive bid for Real Madrid star Ronaldo.

The Italian media are reporting that Blues owner Roman Abramovich is planning to blow out the water Inter Milan's bid for Brazilian international.

Inter director Massimo Moratti has been working on bringing Ronaldo back to the San Siro next season, but Inter's spending power simply cannot match Chelsea.

It's reported that Abramovich is prepared to offer Real a cash bid of £35 million and also hand Ronaldo a staggering £8 million-a-year contract to move to London.

The money involved is something that Inter simply cannot match, but club officials remain hopeful that close friends Christian Vieri and Adriano could still influence Ronaldo and convince him to snub Chelsea's cash and return 'home'.
