Inter Milan discuss Guti option with Real Madrid

Inter Milan have been in extended talks with Real Madrid over midfielder Guti.

The Spain international has emerged as a target for Inter as they consider Real's pursuit for Bayern Munich midfielder Michael Ballack.

The two clubs enjoy a strong relationship and Inter patron Massimo Moratti doesn't want to jeopardise that by wrecking the Spanish giant's bid to land Ballack.

Instead, Moratti and Real supremo Florentino Perez have discussed a move to the San Siro for Guti, so leaving Real a clear path to sign Ballack in the summer on a Bosman.
