Injured Monaco duo to miss Real Madrid clash

Monaco will be without two of their players when they face Real Madrid in their quarter-final second leg Champions League match on April 6 after defender Sebastien Squillaci and midfielder Andreas Zikos were injured on Saturday.

Centre back Squillaci will be out of action for a month after picking a thigh injury during his side's 1-0 victory over Le Mans in the Ligue 1.

Squillaci was just back from a five-week lay-off because of an injury to the same thigh.

"The player had an echography (diagnostic imaging) this morning, which revealed a torn muscle in his left thigh," club doctor Eric Buracchi told Reuters on Sunday. "He will be out of action for one month."

Zikos, who will also miss the Real Madrid game with a pulled ligament, needs to rest for between 10 to 15 days. Real won the first leg in Spain 4-2.
