Injured Hierro not focusing on new Real Madrid deal

Fernando Hierro says he is not thinking about renewing his Real Madrid contract.

The Spanish veteran is recovering from a knee injury, which has cast fresh doubt on whether he will remain with Real next season.

Hierro said, "That (the new contract) isn't my concern at the moment."

"I haven't given it a thought. I am concentrating totally on recovering from this injury."

"The contract extension is another subject and is in the club's hands. We both know when we will sit down and talk about it."
