In the end, Ronaldo will sign for Real

Brazilian World Cup star Ronaldo will join Real Madrid despite weeks of claim and counter-claim between the Spanish giants and his club Inter Milan, the player's agent insisted Monday - even as the Italians denied once again that he was going anywhere.

"We have to be patient, but we know that there's many ways the transfer can be concluded. In the end Ronaldo will sign for Real Madrid," Alexandre Martin told Spanish daily Marca by telephone from Rio De Janeiro.

"What player wouldn't like to go to Real? He (Ronaldo) really wants to return to Spain, to play football and because of the good time he had the last time he played there" (with Barcelona in 1996-1997).

"We know that Real and Inter are talking. We just have to remain calm and wait for the news," said Martin.

There has been feverish speculation on Ronaldo's future since he stated he wanted to leave Inter Milan a month ago.
Inter president Massimo Moratti insisted in the Italian media on Monday that Ronaldo would stay.
"In my opinion it's 100 percent he will stay at Inter," said Moratti, who criticised Ronaldo for in his view starting off the rumours of a possible transfer.

"He dominates his agents and it is he who started off this whole affair," added Moratti.

"After the World Cup someone wanted to get Ronaldo to believe he could do just as he wants - but that's not the case."

"The fans like him and we have always supported him. This turnaround (wanting to leave) has hurt us and I am very disappointed," said Moratti.

Real, according to the Spanish press, have made an offer to the tune of 50 million euros (48.5 million dollars) and according to Marca, Inter will demand 45 million euros from Real plus Real's Argentine player Santiago Solari.

Other reports suggest Brazilians Flavio Conceicao and Savio, Solari or Spanish forward Fernando Morientes could also enter into the equation.
