Illgner in Champion's snub

Real’s third-choice keeper Bodo Illgner has infuriated the club by sidestepping out of the trip to Germany for the Bayern game.

Illgner has opted out of the trip due to personal reasons but the club is saying that his absence is a deliberate slur and that all squad members must be present even if only to give support.

Apart from Illgner, the entire Real Madrid squad will be present in Munich; right-back Geremi Fotso will fly directly from Angola where he has been training with the Cameroon squad.
