I Will Repay Coach Jose Mourinho's Faith With Goals

Striker Karim Benzema has vowed to fire Real Madrid into the next round of the Copa del Rey by finding the goals to see off Real Murcia at the Santiago Bernabeu this evening.

The Frenchman couldn’t find a way past the lower league side in the first leg which ended 0-0, but since that poor performance the former Lyon frontman has made two impacting appearances from the bench against Hercules and at Milan in the Champions League.

He commented to journalists that he is ready to add goals of his own rather than assisting his colleagues, and hopes to do so against the Third Division outfit.

He remarked: "I want to score goals against Murcia to thank [Jose] Mourinho for what he has done for me. His actions and words help me. He is always here to help me to become better."

"He says things like, ‘You’ve played well, and you have to continue.’ I want to restore the trust that he has given me."

Benzema is expected to lead the line in the match, as Mourinho leaves a number of his first team stars, including Mesut Oezil, out of action to give the fringe players an opportunity to shine.
