The Portugal international netted an impressive 40 La Liga strikes last term, but missed out on the league title and the Champions League as Barcelona proved to be too much of an obstacle for the Santiago Bernabeu side.
"Of course, I will do my utmost to enjoy a great campaign. However, I'm not thinking about bettering my record from last year," Cristiano Ronaldo was quoted as saying by Marca.
"I want to win silverware with the club and will do everything to achieve just that. That's what we are all working for."
Real Madrid host Barcelona on Sunday in their first competitive match of the season. The second leg of the Spanish Supercopa will take place at Camp Nou three days later.
