“I don’t want changes” – Zidane firm on Real Madrid business despite Gareth Bale exit rumours

Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane insiss he doesn’t want to lose any more of his players despite reports linking Gareth Bale with a move to Manchester United.

With Madrid heavily linked with a big-money move for Kylian Mbappe of Monaco the future of the Spanish side’s front-line has been under question.

In particular, Bale, who moved to Madrid in 2013 from Tottenham, has been heavily linked with an exit from the Bernabeu and Jose Mourinho’s Manchester United reportedly hold an interest.

The Red Devils were keen on a move when Bale initially joined Real and could now pursue a transfer again this summer.

However, Bale’s agent, Jonathan Barnett, has dismissed reports this week.

"It’s a ridiculous, stupid story," he told BBC Sport.

And Zidane is adamant that he doesn’t want to part ways with another of his top talents, having already willing loaned James Rodriguez to Bayern Munich and sold Danilo and Alvaro Morata to Manchester City and Chelsea respectively.

"I’m relaxed and I’m delighted with the squad," the Frenchman told reporters. "We have the best, we won and we want to do the same again."

"The squad is very good and I don’t want changes. It’s only Cristiano Ronaldo who isn’t with us [on pre-season] but we know that it’s going to be a difficult year. Everyone will want to win and that’s more beautiful for us."

Injury woes saw Bale lose his place in the Madrid starting XI last season to Isco, with the 28-year-old playing only 19 league matches, of which just ten were the full 90 minutes.
