I Am Not The Best In The World - Zidane

Zinedine Zidane told an Argentinian newspaper (Clarin) that he is not the best player in the world.

"I have won many awards and I am very happy about this, but I am not the best player in the world," he said.

"In reality, there are many excellent players and to get to that level it takes hard work and determination. That is something I have done. Over the last 12 or 13 years I have gotten better each year both technically and physically," he added.

Zidane also stated that he admires Uruguayan legend Francescoli.

"For me, he is like a god. He was the player I admired when I was at Marseille. He could do amazing tricks with a ball, the best I have ever seen. To reach his level would be the best one could reach," he said.
