I Am Not Antibarcelonista

While Charly Rexach is having a tough time with his holiday-makers at Barça, Vicente Del Bosque is enjoying a winning streak with Real.

The Spanish champions enjoyed a very good run of form and, thanks to their rivals' staggering performances, they are now definitely back in the race for the title.

"This Liga is fascinating" Del Bosque said after training this morning. "It's also very unusual".

"But let me tell you something about Barcelona: I draw no particular satisfaction to see them doing not very well these days".

"I am not an anti-barcelonista" Del Bosque insisted, asked about his feelings on Real's ailing rivals.

"Also, it's very rare to see a leader like Alaves taking control of the Liga. First of all because they have lost as many as eighteen points, which is quite a lot".

"But also because this season, we are pitted against teams which are all more or less on the same level. This balance is very good for competition, but it's also fairly unpredictable".

Real now turn their attention on their next Champions League game, against Panathinaikos tonight.
