Humbled Barcelona president Laporta praises Real Madrid

Barcelona president Joan Laporta paid tribute to the performance of Real Madrid after last night's 4-2 defeat at the Santiago Bernabeu.

"The game was a great pleasure for the fans," he said. "There were spectacular goals and great play by both teams."

"We looked like we could level and maybe get a draw, but Raul's goals changed things."

A humble Laporta added: "I want to congratulate my opponent. There have been very interesting and exciting moments in this game."

"Now I call on us to continue working with the same determination because we have played well and we can maintain our lead by keeping this attitude."
