Hoddle Refusing To Give Up Over Morientes Deal

Tottenham boss Glenn Hoddle is refusing to admit defeat over his quest to entice Fernando Morientes to White Hart Lane.

Spurs have been in talks with the Spanish star and Real Madrid, however such a move only looks likely to go ahead if Ronaldo joins Real from Inter.

Hoddle said, "We're still trying to negotiate a deal and it's a very difficult one. I know he wants to come, but there are all sorts of added factors that are out of our hands. I know the lad would come if everything was sorted out, it's as simple as that."
