Higuain: Messi And Aguero Are Great Players

Real Madrid striker, Gonzalo Higuain, affirmed to the press that his compatriots, Sergio Aguero and Lionel Messi are great players.

Gonzalo Higuain, of Spanish champions Real Madrid, affirmed on Tuesday that his compatriots Sergio 'Kun' Aguero (Atletico Madrid) and Lionel Messi (Barcelona) "are two great players, who can't be compared."

"They are passing through a great moment and it is very nice to watch them play," stated Higuain, who has commenced the 2008-09 Spanish season in good form, and is hoping to receive an Argentina call-up in the next few months.

"I'd love to. I am very young and I work day-by-day to play for the Argentine national team, it is my objective," declared the former River Plate striker.

Higuain, who decided to play for Argentina instead of France, the country of his birth, is looking forward to the opportunity to turn out for Argentina in the 2010 South American World Cup qualifiers, as he has set his sights on participating in football's most prestigious competition in less than two years time.

Alfio Basile, the head coach of Argentina, has told the player to be patient because he is still very young, but if he keeps up the good work with Real Madrid he will receive a call-up in the near future.
