Helguera unsure over Real Madrid contract

Real Madrid defender Ivan Helguera admits he's still to hear from the club about a new contract.

The Spain international is inside the final year of his present deal and he told Marca: "We'll just have to wait and see what happens in the next months.

"I have said that it surprised me that they were willing to wait until November before talking about a contract, but now I have no problem in waiting."

"For now, my only focus is playing well. If I do that, then my renewal will take care of itself."
