Helguera stuck at Real Madrid

Frozen out Ivan Helguera will remain with Real Madrid - at least until the winter market opens.

The defender rejected offers from Fenerbahce and Racing Santander, while a move to Valencia fell through after Roberto Ayala chose to stay.

Real coach Fabio Capello left Helguera aware in no uncertain terms yesterday of what he thinks of him during a bounce game between the senior players and youth team. Helguera was told to play for the juniors.
