Ivan Helguera has had a swipe at Real Madrid's foreign signings.
 
The Spanish international says the Primera Liga's move towards importing more talent is affecting the national team's standing.

The defender remarked: "It is certain that there are good foreign players, but without a doubt there is a serious effect on the national, in this case of Spain."

"To be Spanish and to play for Real Madrid is more difficult every day, because every time more big foreigners come, with big names and much quality, it is difficult to be noticed."
