Heinze: Real Madrid match for anyone in Europe

Gabriel Heinze insists Real Madrid have nothing to fear in this season's Champions League.

On the eve of tonight's group opener at BATE Borisov, Real defender Heinze said: "I will not talk about favorites, this is a different competition to all else. I want Real Madrid and other Spanish teams do well I hope and pray that this is so."

"English football is, I do not know if it's better, but it is doing good things, placing two teams in a final of the Champions League means something."

Heinze also denied reports he was ready to quit the Argentina national team after a blow-up with coach Alfio Basile.

"This is a private matter," he added. "But it would be impossible for me to give up the Argentina shirt."
