Health worry for Campo

Real Madrid central defender Ivan Campo is being treated for a bout of anxiety attacks that have marred his return to the side this term.

The 27-year-old Basque has come under fire for his poor outings so far this season and is now in a situation where he feels unable to cope with the pressure of life at the Bernabeu.

Campo told coach Vicente Del Bosque that he felt unwell before Saturday's league game against Athletic Bilbao forcing his exclusion from the starting line-up.

The ex-Mallorca defender has been diagnosed as suffering from stress and according to club medics, has not been able to sleep properly for the past few weeks. Campo will undergo tests at the club on Monday in an attempt to find a solution to his condition.

For the meantime, Campo will not be taking part in the squad's training sessions and is unlikely to be available for this week's games at Playas and Alavés.
