Happy New Year 2004

Once again we have seem a year with lots of new users visiting www.realmadrid.dk. And we are very happy to see, that we have become one of the best (if not the best) visited Real Madrid site.

Thank you for your many emails. We read them all, but sorry for those we haven't had time to answer. Believe us.. We get letters all the time. :-) We appriciate that.

Real Madrid made it to the top of the Primera this new year, and lets hope that a sign on where they will end when we reach summer. I enjoy watching their league games on TV every time.

Also Champions League seems good. In the end for february we go to Bayern to take revenge for the last game we played there. It was in April 2002 when we lost 2-1. But as you might know, we won the home game 2-0 and went all the way to the final against Bayer 04 leverkusen and won 2-1. Lets hope that this star filled team can make that happen again. And with great glory.

We are also in the Spanish Cupa Del Rey, which was getting to exiting when Real Madrid was down 3-2 against Leganes which should just be a bump on the way to top of the pyramid. The next game will be played the 5. january against S.S. Eibar. But with 2 minutes to go.. Real Madrid found S.S. Eibar twice :-) Good job boys.

This years big signing was David Beckham, which there was a lot of romour talk about in the summer. "Was he good enough"?, "Will he take Figos place"? and so on.

We also got a new coach as Real Madrid sacked Del Bosque, which has taken Real Madrid to many glorious victories through the time of his present in the club. The new coach is Carlos Queiroz. We hope that he will make the stars on the team to their best.

After many years of service on field for Real Madrid, Fernando Ruiz Hierro was out of contract and was released to big wonder of many people. Was this the right decission? Who should take over. For now, it has been the job of young Raúl Bravo and Rubén, which seems to lack of experience from time to time. But hopefully they will learn quickly.

We get many mails about that Real should buy a defender, which we fully support. But as you might have read here in the news section, Real doesn't seem to buy players doing the winther transfer opening. But lets see what happens. The have pulled the poker face before and supprised.

At Last Frank and I just want to wish you all a fantastic new year 2004, we lots of great football to watch either on Bernabeu or live on the TV :-)
