What a big year for Real Madrid. With both up's and down's. We at www.realmadrid.dk wants to wish you all a Happy New Year, with a few words about the year 2002.
Worlds best club team
The 30/8 this year, they took home the European Supercup against Feyenoord. This was the big start of a big year.
Real Madrid said that they will sign one big player every year. Last year it was Zidane. And this year it was Ronaldo, who travelled to Bernabeu. Though i was some big negotiations about his landing. And i was in the last hour they signed the transfer deal. Lots of rumours in period up to the transfer said both that he wouldn't and would make the tranfer. Fortunately they accepted the deal, and Ronaldo moved to Real Madrid.
Performance
With Ronaldo arriving to the team, there were big expectations about how it could perform. And maybe because of that, the pressure was a bit to much. Cause the performance a been a bit unstable. They have lost a couple of important games, and as the defenders of the Champions League Trophy, they has shown a lack of power to get the Trophey again. But hopefully they will streghen up now, at get the wins they need.
In the league they are a bit from the top in the table. But there is not many point to the leading team. So they have the first place in reach.
