Hamburg striker Van Nistelrooy quietly pushing for Real Madrid move

Hamburg striker Ruud van Nistelrooy hasn't given up hope of returning to Real Madrid.

The Dutchman's move is being blocked by Hamburg, but is still pushing quietly for the deal to be done.

Van Nistelrooy's agent Roger Lindse is maintaining contact with both clubs in an effort to make a breakthrough.

Hamburg teammate Ze Roberto commented: "I understand he wants to return, and the organization says they do not want him to leave."
