Guti the hero in comfortable Cup win

Real Madrid had no problems securing a place in the second round of the Copa del Rey after thrashing Pájara Playas de Jandía 4-0 on Wednesday.

Striker José María Gutiérrez was the hero of the night, netting a hat-trick with Savio Bortolini celebrating his return to the side by firing Real's fourth 10 minutes before time.

Real's makeshift defence of B-team stars Oscar Miñambres, Francisco Pavón, Rubén and Raúl Bravo looked a little overawed by the big occasion, but some superb goalkeeping by César Sanchez kept Pájara at bay during the tie.

Real Madrid coach Vicente del Bosque said after the match: "Our players acted with great professionalism. These games look easy but if you don't put in the effort then you'll find yourself in trouble."
