Having recovered from an injury to his left ankle, the 24-year-old is back in coach Vicente Del Bosque's plans, but he is unsure as to when he will be given his chance to impress.
"Things are going really well at the moment and it is logical that I will have to work very hard to be given a place in the starting team," explained Guti, after watching Madrid´s 4-1 demolition of Belgian side Anderlecht in the Champions' League.
"In the last three games everyone has played well including the players that have been given a chance through injuries to others, like Pedro Munitis."
"But I could not be happier to see the form that Real Madrid are in. I have seen the last two games at the Bernabeu and the team played with a lot of spirit."
"It is very important that the visiting team do not feel comfortable and that they leave knowing they have had a very tough match."

After picking up just one point from their first three league matches, the reigning champions have since picked up their form and go into this weekend's game with Real Valladolid on a high.
"We have Valladolid this weekend and we have a chance to make it three wins in three matches," said Guti. "They will come here hoping to cause an upset."
"Not only because they have many ex-Real Madrid players in their team, but also because they know that we had a bad start and they will try to bring us back to playing like we did in those early games."
A 5-1 league win over Espanyol – sandwiched between two emphatic Champions' League wins – gives a clear indication that Real have turned the corner after their early season troubles.
